Atop the roof of the Nacrene city gym, Cassandra sitts. Usually, at this time of night, she would still be having her Pokemon spar with each other, or out in the surrounding area having her partners practice their attacks and abilities on the wild Pokemon as she maintained her own strength on nearby dead trees and boulders.

But tonight, she was taking a break. She would challenge the gym leader soon. Judging by the physical condition of her Pokemon compared to those she had seen enter and win at the gym; it seemed likely she would emerge victorious with relative ease. But the problem still remained that she currently owned two Pokemon, when it seemed most trainers carried six, and had many more. She surely did not think six was manageable at this point; but observing the apparently faux elemental type system in her last gym match; it seemed like a good idea for her to obtain Pokemon to cover more of the strengths and weaknesses present in this world's strange animal life.

She had seen many Pokemon come and go from the gym, and from observing and researching using the strange computer-like object she received upon arriving here; she had determined the type of Pokemon she should be looking for. Where to find such a Pokemon may be more difficult a journey though...

She stood up and looked out across the city. Hardly the urban sprawl she was used to; but it was in its own way quite beautiful.

As she stared out across the moonlit sky, a strange distortion appeared behind her. Calmly, she backed away and tossed Spoiler's Pokeball releasing the Sableye to help defend against whatever was appearing. The distortion did not last long, as a small box appeared, seemingly taking the spacial distortion's place. The Sableye ran up to it, sniffed it, and then looked up to Cassandra with a tilt of her head.

Sensing the box was safe, she bent down and opened it. Inside was something wrapped in paper, though it was warm and seemingly illuminated slightly... and on top, a small note. It simply read:

"We recovered recently.  A little broken, did what we could. Return trips impossible.. Come home safe. -Robin"

She unwraps the paper revealing a small metal box. Part of it lights up, and she hears a strange sound from her belt. Taking out her communication device, she squints as she reads the text appearing on the screen.

"In...terfaceing...with.... mo-ther...box."

[My super last minute May event post. Keeping it on the personal journal since it doesn't really have any room for interaction and is sort of an open ended scene. So, my basic line of thought is that this damaged mother box will function as a computer interface device, as well as a slightly upgraded Teleport move; or basically the move Fly. If that is ever a problem, just let me know and I'll make the mother box suddenly become even more damaged. ]
